The War Museum has opened an exhibition of works by Oleksandr Khomiakhov, an artist and serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The exhibition is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Dmytro Hainetdinov, Deputy Director General of the Museum, and Anton Lohov, artist and curator of the project, attended the exhibition opening at the Museum.
The series portrays Special Operations Forces soldiers, highlighting their combat work, everyday life, the atmosphere of service, and the spirit of warriors who undertake extremely difficult missions under extraordinary conditions.
“These drawings are my diary of stories and encounters, a collection of fascinating details, a means of communication, and a way to understand the modern military,” Oleksandr Khomiakhov said during the exhibition opening.
A photo book about the Special Operations Forces was also presented at the event. It features, among other materials, previously unpublished photographs from the personal archives of SOF operators, documenting key public operations of the Special Operations Forces over more than a decade.
Visitors are invited to explore the artworks and learn more about the Special Operations Forces at the exhibition, which will remain open until 29 July 2026.
