On 1 October, Ukraine marks the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. On this day, the War Museum invites you to a meeting with servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Each has their own area of service, their own experience and their own stories. Together, they offer an insight into how the modern Ukrainian army operates and what its daily work really involves.
You can look forward to:
- a thematic guided tour of the War Museum exhibitions;
- a live conversation and an opportunity to ask Heroes of Ukraine questions and hear their stories first-hand; to talk about what usually remains beyond the news and gain a better understanding of the servicemen of the Ukrainian military;
- an introduction to the defenders’ modern equipment and the technologies they use;
- an opportunity to test your skills in an interactive simulator and experience what it is like to operate small arms.
Participants will have an opportunity to receive a commemorative calendar signed by the Heroes of Ukraine and take a group photo with the Defenders.
- The event will take place in a building equipped with a shelter that can be used during an air-raid alert.
