The event will include:
- film screening of the documentary “Two Days Before Chasiv Yar”. The film was shot in August 2024 directly near the front line – at a base where Ukrainian soldiers underwent an intensive training course before being deployed to defend Chasiv Yar. Swedish volunteer instructor Magnus Ek took on the mission of preparing the soldiers as thoroughly as possible for what awaited them ahead. This gruelling training process and the spirit of comradeship were captured in his work by renowned Swedish director of photography and director Adrian van den Broek;
- meeting and live discussion with the author of the film and its main protagonist, who have specially travelled to Ukraine from Sweden;
- formal presentation to the authors of the film of finalist diplomas for the International Ruslan Ganuschak Documentary Foundation Award for camera operators, war correspondents and photographers who risk their lives to document the truth of war;
- award ceremony with the non-governmental international medal “BROTHER FOR BROTHER”, established in 2016 and named after Ruslan Ganuschak’s film of the same name. It is awarded to foreign soldiers, medics and volunteers who have stood in defence of Ukraine in its war for Independence.

The Documentary Foundation was established in February 2025 by the FRAC Charitable Foundation in partnership with the family in honour of Senior Sergeant Ruslan Ganuschak, a war documentarian, director and volunteer of the 92nd Assault Brigade, who on 11 January 2025 followed the path of honour into immortality in battle for Ukraine.
