“The Second World War. Our Victory.” Online Lessons for School Students and Teachers

Children at the Museum / 29 April 2026

The War Museum invites school students and teachers to join a series of online lessons dedicated to the anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe.

The largest armed conflict in human history will be presented not only through dates and military schemes, but also through personal stories told by letters, photographs, and objects preserving the memory of several generations.

Together with museum professionals, participants will explore important questions:

  • Why is this war more than just a part of the school curriculum?
  • What role did the Ukrainian people play in the victory over Nazism?
  • Why does the legacy of the Second World War remain relevant today?

The lessons are based on materials from the War Museum collection, allowing participants to deepen their understanding of the events of the Second World War, honor the contribution of the Ukrainian people to the defeat of Nazism, and reflect on the importance of preserving historical memory in the context of today’s struggle for it.
