The War Museum team congratulates Director General Yurii Savchuk on receiving the National Award “Golden Hands” for his significant personal contribution to preserving and communicating the history of Ukraine’s military intelligence, as well as for his truthful coverage of the events of the Russian-Ukrainian War.
“Golden Hands” is an annual civic award presented to service personnel, volunteers, cultural figures, educators, medical professionals and other specialists for outstanding achievements in strengthening, developing and defending our country. This year, the event was dedicated to Ukraine’s military intelligence, one of the key areas of national security.
Among the other laureates of the 7th awards ceremony were Oleksandr Skipalskyi, the first head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine; Major General Dmytro Usov, Secretary of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War; Colonel Yevhenii Yerin, representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine; Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine; Ihor Smilianskyi, Director General of Ukrposhta; Alla Hordiienko, Director of the National Library of Ukraine for Children; and actress Ada Rohovtseva.
